Single Pixel Camera

Single Pixel Camera: with three installations (iterations) thus far: Mark One, Mark Two and the Portrait Studio. Single Pixel Camera takes a subversive look into portraiture. Undermining features of visual identification, the 1 Pixel Portrait creates an average of all parts, unifying the sitter(s) into a single colour, using a purpose-built prototype camera. The sleek, unprotected surface and single shade of each portrait creates a mirror like effect. The viewer becomes part of the work, and the photograph, ordinarily a record of the past, remains active in the present. Portraits can be commissioned in three sizes - small (10 x 10"), medium (20 x 20") and large (40 x 40"). All are Lambda prints
